Internacional rises to second in Brazil's Serie A

Rio De Janeiro (Brazil), January 8: Caio Rocha and Yuri Alberto scored second-half goals as Internacional climbed to second in Brazil's Serie A with a 2-0 win at Ceara on Thursday.
Rocha put the visitors ahead with a 53rd-minute strike and Yuri Alberto doubled the lead 13 minutes from time at the Castelao stadium.
Internacional has now won four consecutive matches and is just six points behind leader Sao Paulo with 10 matches remaining in the season. Ceara dropped to 11th place, 20 points behind Sao Paulo.
In Thursday's only other match, Vasco da Gama held Atletico Goias to a goalless draw in Goiania.
Vasco is 16th, just one point clear of the relegation zone, while Atletico Goias is 12th, six points above the Rio de Janeiro outfit.
