King of Jordan receives Federal National Council speaker

Amman [Jordan], February 20: His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan on Monday received Federal National Council Speaker Saqr Ghobash.
According to a royal court statement carried by the Jordan News Agency (PETRA), His Majesty stressed the deep-rooted ties between Jordan and the UAE, and keenness to advance them further, especially at the parliamentary level.
The King reiterated the need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the protection of civilians, while ensuring the sustainable flow of humanitarian aid.
His Majesty commended the UAE's diplomatic efforts to push for a ceasefire, as well as its humanitarian efforts to support Gazans and continue to deliver aid.
House of Representatives Speaker Ahmad Safadi and Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan attended the meeting.
Gobash conveyed to the Jordanian King the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court. King Abdullah II reciprocated the greetings.
The UAE top parliamentarian commended the fraternal relations between the two countries highlighting the support provided by UAE President and King of Jordan to advance them to higher levels.
