Kuala Lumpur [Malaysia], October 29: Malaysian authorities said on Saturday that 370.8 kilograms of drugs worth 25.5 million ringgit (5.34 million U.S. dollars) have been seized in the country's Johor state.
The drugs were seized in three separate operations in October against international drug trafficking syndicates, deputy director-general of the customs department Sazali Mohamad revealed.
Sazali said the largest seizure involved ecstasy pills with a gross weight of 269.75 kilograms worth 19.8 million ringgit (4.14 million U.S. dollars).
He added that the mode of smuggling was almost the same in all three cases: the drugs were smuggled in from Europe via air freight into the final destination Malaysia.
