Sri Lankan navy seizes 200 kilos of heroin, crystal methamphetamine

Colombo [Sri Lanka], April 13: Sri Lankan navy on Friday seized two local multi-day fishing trawlers carrying some 200 kilos of heroin and crystal methamphetamine off the southern coast of the South Asian country.
The drug haul was made during a special operation based on intelligence, the navy said in a statement, adding that they also arrested 10 crew members of the vessels.
The two trawlers are being escorted to the Galle Harbor and will be handed over to relevant authorities for investigations, the navy said.
