Total value of Russia's natural resources estimated at $100 trillion

Moscow [Russia], December 7: The total value of Russia's natural resources is $ 100 trillion, which is almost twice as much as in the United States, and the unique resource base ensures the reliability of Russian supplies to foreign partners in the long term, said Igor Sechin, executive secretary of the Presidential Commission on Fuel and Energy Development strategy and environmental safety and head of Rosneft, APA reports citing Pravda.
"Having a huge and diverse resource base, Russia occupies a special place in the world. The total value of our country's natural resources is $100 trillion, which is almost twice as much as the same indicator in the United States. This imposes a huge responsibility on our country," he said, speaking at the Verona Eurasian Economic Forum.
