UAE President issues Resolution No. 11 of 2023 on internal regulations of Federal National Council

Abu Dhabi [UAE], November 28: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued Resolution No. 11 of 2023, regarding the Internal Regulations of the Federal National Council (FNC), which included a number of amendments related to the powers of the Council's bodies, with the aim of enabling the Council to exercise its legislative, oversight, and parliamentary diplomacy powers in accordance with the provisions of the UAE Constitution and these Regulations.
The FNC had discussed the amendment to the Internal Regulations of the Council in a session on June 21, 2023.
According to these Regulations, the FNC, one of the five federal authorities in the UAE, exercises its powers in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution and these Regulations. The provisions of these Regulations ensure cooperation between the Council and all other federal authorities and institutions, and also guarantee members of the Council the freedom of expression, in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution.
