Van plows into house in Philippines, killing 1, injuring 4

Manila [Philippines], March 15: A delivery van plowed into a house along a highway in Quezon province of the Philippines, southeast of Manila, on Friday morning, killing the driver and injuring four others, police said.
Police said the freight forwarder closed van truck was traveling to Unisan town from Manila when it crashed into a roadside house around 6 a.m. local time, killing the driver on the spot.
A resident of the house was among the four who sustained injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
Police have taken the van's assistants into custody as the cause of the accident is under investigation.
